Alpaca hike in the Barnimer Feldmark

Altlandsberg Trip Overview

The special thing is the relaxation on the hike. Alpacas cannot be pushed or pulled. They are curious, cautious, sometimes stubborn but always friendly. On the hike you will really get to know the gentle four-legged friends.

Itinerary

After getting to know the herd and information about alpacas and their special features, 2 – 4 animals are halved and led by the participants. We hike out of the village, through fields and meadows. The animals set the pace, and here you can switch off from everyday stress and consciously observe the nature and behavior of the alpacas. Sometimes you can even listen to the alpacas’ spoken language. The hike takes 60 to 90 minutes. You can then stop by the Buchholz Saloon (opens at 12 noon). For “Strickliesel” there is a small selection of wool from our alpacas that have been processed into knitting yarn. Dogs are not allowed on the hike.

Please note that, in our experience, an alpaca hike is not very suitable for children under 10 years of age. That is why we have set a minimum age of 10 years for accompanying persons.
