You start things off by meeting your guide on Bernauer Strasse. Then off to explore the Cold War legacy of the divided German capital.

Start your trip at Bernauer Strasse, a street known for the dividing line for the Berlin Wall. You’ll have an opportunity to explore some of the remnants of this infamous barrier once divided the German nation. Visit a nearby museum where you’ll see the house’s artifacts from people who tried to run away.

From there we will find our way to Hauptbahnof, a former “ghost station” cut in half by the city’s divisions that nowadays is a symbol of the reunited Berlin. After that head to the Tränenpalast,a border crossing for those who were traveling by train between East and West Germany. It has the nickname “Palace of Tears,” because of many painful goodbyes that took place inside its walls.
