Explore the charming cobblestone streets of Berlin’s oldest district and learn how the city developed from a backwater fishing village built on a swamp to one of the most visited capitals in the world. We begin our tour next to the oldest intact church building in Berlin’s historic centre, the Nikolaikirche, after which the quarter is named.

Passing by one the city’s most photographed statues, we discover the legend of St. George and the dragon.

See the imposing Red Town Hall, restored after WWII and current centre of reunified Berlin’s city administration.
