At 8 a.m., your private driver will pick you up from your accommodation in the Berlin area. You will reach Schasenhausen Memorial in Oranienburg (Germany) after one hour drive. On board, there are free refreshments and snacks.
Take an audio-guide tour (in your language) of the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum. Learn about the life and death of innocent people in this former Nazi Concentration Camp. A disturbing yet important experience is a valuable lesson in history and human nature.
After about 2 hours drive, we will arrive in Szczecin, Poland. Here you will take a short walk to see the city’s highlights, like National Philharmonic, Solidarity Square, Chrobry Embankment and The Pomeranian Dukes Castle with its famous clock tower. Afterward, depending on the day of the week, you will visit at least one of two major museums dedicated to recent Polish history.
Walk along the system of underground tunnels and shelters to learn how civilians’ lives were organized during the air raids and an atomic threat after World War II (Museum is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
Visit this modern exhibition to learn more about the times after the war, the reality behind the Iron Curtain, and finally the Polish People’s road to freedom (Museum is closed on Mondays).
After a long and exhausting day, you will enjoy a delicious dinner a la carte with traditional Polish cuisine in one of the best local restaurants.
We will leave for Germany after dinner at around 6 p.m., and we’ll get to your accommodation in the Berlin region around 8 p.m..
