This special walking tour starts at the Frankfurter gate, the magnificent beginning of the former Stalin Blvd. You can reach the starting point with subway or Tram. Your local certified guide experienced the GDR and the transition from his childhood. The tour then goes along the Boulevard in the direction of Alexanderplatz. On the way one can see the most remarkable examples of socialist architecture form different periodes and you will learn many interesting details and stories about the history of the socialist metropolis East Berlin. At the Alexanderplatz the tour reaches another prestigious urban development project of East Berlin. Eventually, we travel by S-Bahn (metro) to the breath-taking Soviet War Memorial in Treptower Park, that is dedicated to the Soviet victims of the battle of Berlin. The tour ends here after 2.5 hours and about 4 kilometers of walking.
