Garmisch-Partenkirchen Trip Overview

This is a rare opportunity to visit Oberammergau, Linderhof and Ettal with somebody who is a Native English speaker and has lived in the area for 40 years, 15 of them in Oberammergau and I have worked for former main Passion Play personalities.
The Play permeates the whole of village life, the Village is the Passion Play!
We can change the Tour to make use of very good weather, this might include more charges if the distances and times change dramatically.
I hope to see you soon!

Itinerary
This Tour takes about 5-6 Hours, we see Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Olympic Ski Stadium, the Ludwig Strasse, the oldest street in the area at over 2000 years old, built by the Celts before the Romans invaded.
Then we visit the Abbey at Ettal, built in 1330 as an armed Monastery with Knights of the Teutonic Order.
We DO NOT visit NEUSCHWANSTEIN!, it is simply too far away, hopefully Linderhof Palace if the COVID restrictions are lifted.
Otherwise we will spend more time in a Queue than actually seeing anything.
Then we go to the World Famous Oberammergau where the Passion Play is performed every 10 years, it was also the site of a Messerschmitt Jet engine factory after Augsburg was bombed in 1944 during WW2.
There is much to see in Oberammergau and I had the privilege to live and work there for 15 years,
I even worked here for 3 Passion Plays, 1980, 1984 for the Jubilee Passion Play and 1990.
A great Tour with an opportunity to take some great photographs and meet some real woodcarvers-
I even had a few Bars in O´gau so I know the locals and traditions very well.
See you soon!
