In the museum you will see the almost 2000 year-old wrecks of several Roman ships which were sensationally discovered in Mainz in the 1980’s. We will walk between impressive life-size reconstructions which show not only the engineering skills of the Roman shipbuilders but also give us an insight into life at this important frontier of the Roman Empire.
