The sanctuary of Isis and Mater Magna originated in Roman Mogontiacum in the 1st century and existed until the 3rd century. During construction work on the “Römerpassage” shopping gallery in downtown Mainz, its structural remains were discovered and uncovered at the end of 1999.

Kirschgarten is a square with half-timbered buildings in the old town of Mainz. Cultural features are parallel placed lines of half-timbered houses, which are connected by the alley along the “Weihergarten”.
