Eagle’s Nest is a mountain top lodge built by the Nazis, and is a fascinating sight of historical significance. Located at 6,148 feet (1,834 meters) on top of Mt Kehlstein, the lodge has some of Germany’s most amazing views of the Alps mountain range. After a scenic drive along the German Alpine Road through impressive scenic valleys, we reach Berchtesgaden.
The 2-hour bus journey continues to Obersalzberg, where you’ll get off the bus.
A special bus and an elevator tunneled straight through the rock bring you up to the Eagle’s Nest, a high command post built by the Nazi party for Hitler’s 50th birthday.
After departure from Obersalzberg, we’ll stop for lunch at a restaurant (costs not included in tour price)
After a 30-minute drive we’ll arrive at the NS-Documentation Center (visit is optional; at own expense).
At approx. 4pm we’ll start the return journey to Munich where we’ll arrive at approx. 6pm.
