Stop At: Schloss Neuschwanstein, Neuschwansteinstrasse 20, 87645 Schwangau, Bavaria Germany

Castle NEUSCHWANSTEIN – dream destination of countless travellers from all over the world! No building in Germany is visited more often than Ludwig’s most famous fairytale castle, which began construction in 1869.
It was dedicated to Ludwig’s favorite composer Richard Wagner; the neo-Romanesque facade deceives the fact that the progressive king had it built as a high-tech castle.

During the 35-minute guided tour of the castle, you will be shown all the completed living rooms of the king. On the following 15-minute way to the exit you will pass through one of the unfinished floors, after which you will see the unusually modern kitchen of the castle as well as the planned bathroom.

Tickets (Skip-the-Line) are already included in the travel price!

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Plansee Austria

Between Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Castle, there are 50 minutes’ drive on the most scenic routes. The highlight is Lake Plansee, surrounded by high Alpine peaks.

Since we cross Austrian territory, you should not forget your travel documents!

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Schloss Linderhof, Linderhof 12, 82488 Ettal, Bavaria Germany

In the middle of a remote alpine valley, Ludwig II built his most magnificent and at the same time most intimate castle. Let yourself be overwhelmed by the chambers in the French Rococo-style during the 30-minute guided tour!

Entrance fees adults (skip-the-line ticket): € 7.50
Children up to 18 years: free admission

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Blombergbahn Bad Tolz, Am Blomberg 2, 83646, Wackersberg, Bavaria Germany

Between Linderhof Castle and Lake Chiemsee we make a short stop at the charming spa town of Bad Tölz. Here you can take a stroll through the historic old town, or take a few laps on the nearby summer toboggan run.

Duration: 25 minutes

Stop At: Schloss Herrenchiemsee, 83209, Herreninsel, Bavaria Germany

Herrenchiemsee Palace is the most curious building of the king: it cost as much as Neuschwanstein and Linderhof combined, but Ludwig lived only 10 days in it!
It was to become a copy of Versailles, but due to a shortage of money it remained unfinished (as Neuschwanstein did).

Let yourself be fascinated by the 35-minute guided tour of stately rooms of gigantic proportions; but also the trip with one of the Chiemsee ships over Bavaria’s largest lake is the special magic of this royal palace.

Entrance to Herrenchiemsee Castle (skip-the-line): € 9.00 / adult, children under 18 years free admission

Chiemsee ferry: € 9.70 / adult, children 6 – 15 years: € 4.80

Duration: 3 hours
