Munich Trip Overview
Discover the magnificent Chiemsee, including the famous Herrenchiemsee Palace, which is situated on an island and was built in the 19th century by the fairytale king Ludwig II of Bavaria in the style of Versailles.
The full day trip starts in the morning, with pick up at your Munich city hotel or private accommodation. Cool drinks and snacks will be waiting for you in a comfortable SUV vehicle.
As soon as we have arrived at the beautiful Chiemsee, we will jump on a boat and make our way towards the two picturesque islands – the Herreninsel & Fraueninsel!
After arriving on the Herreninsel, we will explore the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Palace, which was built in 1878 by the fairytale king Ludwig II of Bavaria as a copy of the famous French Versailles.
Leaving the bigger island behind, we will continue, of course still by boat, to the next stop – the Fraueninsel!
There, we visit the historical Benedictine abbey and stop for a delicious Bavarian lunch in a typical beer garden.

After arriving on the Herreninsel, we will explore the magnificent Herrenchiemsee (New Castle) by a tour through the Palace, as well the huge Garden.

We’ll continue, of course still by boat, to the next stop – the Fraueninsel!
After arriving on the Fraueninsel, we’ll stop for a delicious Bavarian lunch in a typical beer garden.
